Islay Blackface Lamb

Lorgbaw Crofts' green pastures with its herb rich rocky shores washed by the salt spray from Lochindall combine to produce some of the finest lamb in Scotland.

Naturally  grass fattened in the clean, unpolluted Islay air, Lighthouse Blackface Lamb is unrivalled for its quality, tenderness and unique sweetness.

Hand graded to ensure quality lean meat.

Good marbelling qualities with lower cholesterol levels.

 


 

  • All lamb carcasses hung for 2 - 3 weeks for extra maturity and tenderness.
  • Whole and half boxed lamb available.
  •  All cuts vaccum packed and freezer ready.
  • Local delivery / collection and mainland postal service.

A typical full boxed lamb will contain giggots, boned and rolled or diced shoulder,  racks or chops,  Dice and / or soup cuts depending on lamb size. Typical lamb weights approx.  13 - 17 kg
