Welcome To Lorgbaw Croft, Isle of Islay
Kevin and Lizzie Wiggins, with their two children, work the family croft on the beautiful Rhinns of Islay. They produce pedigree Blackface breeding stock in conjunction with the unique "Lighthouse lamb" produced from the native black Hebridean sheep first introduced by the Vikings.
Lorgbaw Croft is a member of the Scottish Beef and Lamb Association Farm Assurance Scheme and all lamb is derived from prime stock born and reared on Lorgbaw crofts. All lambs are sympathetically slaughtered at Islay's new state of the art abattoir keeping "Food Miles" to a minimum. They are then butchered to your requirements by one of Islay's master butchers. All these measures ensure full tracability and reduce animal stress, ensure the highest welfare standards and maintain the highest produce quality.
Being a small family croft each order is taken individually and lambs are processed to order.
- Whole or half boxed lamb available.
- All produce vaccum packed and freezer ready.
- local delivery / collection and mainland postal service.
